In addition, ITS hosts the UCSF Drupal Users Group (DUG) meetings, works to create common modules for the UCSF community and promotes common standards and training for Drupal.
In order to better serve the UCSF community and improve UCSF's online presence, Information Technology Services (ITS) has worked with the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost (EVCP) Office and University Relations to provide subsidized Drupal hosting, free UCSF Drupal Themes, and a standard set of Drupal modules. We work to make sure that hosted sites are backed up on a nightly basis, the hosting hardware is patched and Drupal is up to date.
ITS provides all of the Server and Backend services found in the Drupal skills diagram below. We work with UCSF organizations to find the right people that have the Coding, Theming and Presentation skills. We also train people in some of the "Content Managment" and "Site Building" skills.
